From a young age, Michael was captivated by the art of mixing “potions,” using toothpaste caps as makeshift beakers and anything else his mother allowed him to experiment with. This playful curiosity laid the foundation for his lifelong passion for science.
In 1997, Michael began his career as a teenage lab technician at Bio-Aquatic Testing. He later moved to Colorado, where he immersed himself in botany, tending bar as an Expert Mixologist and other skills. Returning to Texas in 2006, soon after he worked in R&D for Dymatize Nutrition for a number of years as well as ProCore Manufacturing before founding his own R&D Lab in 2011. There, he developed products for both startups and major global companies, honing his formulation expertise, with many of those same products still on the market today being used by millions..
His journey was not without challenges; he faced personal hardships, including the loss of his wife and struggles with alcohol. These experiences profoundly impacted his physical and mental health. It wasn't until he began introspective work, meditation, and adopting a healthier lifestyle that he found true healing.
After many years of helping numerous companies thrive and learning from industry leaders, Michael began working with oncology patients from all over the country, utilizing plant medicines and other holistic techniques he had learned over the years. Still feeling the yearning to share his knowledge, products and gifts with as many as possible, Michael, and business partner Guy Mezger both felt compelled to create a brand that embodied the passion and commitment of themselves and their colleagues. This led to the establishment of Royal Alchemy Wellness.
Since 2012, he has collaborated with Naturopath pHD Dr. Guy Mezger on various projects, sharing a vision that has resulted in several new products set to launch for Royal Alchemy Wellness throughout 2026. They aim to create more than just a company with exceptional products; they envisions a brand that gives back significantly to its loyal customers through an affiliate program, all the while promoting empowerment through mindful living.
